Bet that new string will solve all your problems, though. Good luck.
crazy4COUES Report post Posted July 3, 2007 http://www.bowstringmaterial.com/servlet/StoreFront Is this the correct site? NO It is an ebay store, if you use the yahoo search and type in "shooters edge bowstring" it pops up like crazy! Also you should replace the bus cable with the string so they "break in" together. Otherwise you will compound the problem, 10-4? When I got mine back it was 99% exactly the way I brought it to him, had to move the sight a lil bit in the down ward position to sight in again. I assume it was to compensate for the amount of string stretch i had on my old string.......
CouesSlayer Report post Posted July 4, 2007 Ya I'm thinkin about those winners choice strings...how do they compare to shooters edge?
BowNut Report post Posted July 6, 2007 Ya I'm thinkin about those winners choice strings...how do they compare to shooters edge? Shooters Edge makes a great string for a good price. Winners Choice makes a better string but you will pay more. Just my opinion. But you can not really go wrong with ether one. As said above do not just change the string also change the cables. I know there should be a shop around Silver City that sells Shooters Edge String. I know a lot of guys in NM that shoot for Ray at Shooters Edge. I will get you his number and send it to you if you would like. He can tell you what shops there sell them or he may just send them to you. If Sportsman's Warehouse is only going to spend 10 min. on your bow to put strings on I would find someone else to work on your bow. They may be good but ten min. seems kinda fast to to me I would rather they take there time and do it right the first time.

Tines Report post Posted July 7, 2007 Interesting thing happened the other day.... I was out shooting my XT the other day and it went nuts on me. I have been shooting since the NM draw (couple weeks) and it was shooting just like it was in January when I got my deer. Then I went out one morning at forty yards and it shot off the target a foot to the left and high, I thought it was just me since I'm DEFINITELY not the best shot but it did it four more times. I checked all my sights and the knock level and the peep and it hadn't moved at all! I adjusted it and it has shot well since then. Since I'm pretty darn new to archery I'm wondering if this has happened to anybody, and will it continue to do it? I'm just worried I'll have that big bull at forty yards and my bow will whack out on me! (Pretty good excuse though HAHAHA!) Please post your comments on this wierd happening I'm lost here. If nothing had moved, what did you adjust to make it shoot well again? A bow is a simple machine. It's like a car. If you maintain it well and it's properly tuned, mechanically it will perform the same. Applicable to the operator as well.
CouesSlayer Report post Posted July 7, 2007 It was shooting high and left right? So I moved it as if I was sighting it in and it was shooting that way. It now shoots fine with the sight adjustments that I made. Savvy?
