desertmafia21 Report post Posted September 18, 2015 What's your price range? What power bino's are you using? For $105 you can get a Slik pro 330ez on amazon which is a great setup for the price. If money is not an option then an outdoorsman is a great tripod

MogollonMan Report post Posted September 18, 2015 I love my Vanguard Alta+ 264AO. I keep hearing people talk about the Outdoorsmans tripod and I don't get it for the life of me. No doubt they are great tripods, but when I have gone to Outdoorsmans and looked at them, I don't see anywhere near enough upside over my Vanguard to justify over 4 times the cost. I am totally open to them, just need someone to help convince me what makes them so great over others that are SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper.
AZ_SAWBUCK Report post Posted September 18, 2015 If you like the ball head style check out the Vortex Ridge View. If you are looking for one a little lighter I'd go with a Slik. Remember the lighter you go the less stable they tend to be in the wind. One feature I always consider is how wide the legs will spread apart! JS
DesertBull Report post Posted September 18, 2015 More than happy with my manfrotto 190x and pro-2w fluid head. With a few slight mods I was able to reduce the weight by 1/2 lb. trim.97534CC0-9399-4A35-B3B3-CF4188AD0179.MOV

AZbowhntr Report post Posted September 21, 2015 Amanda sells the carbon Promaster here on the site. I have been using it for a couple years now and am very happy with it. I took my Jim White head off my old tripod and now have a great setup.
