Heat Report post Posted September 17, 2015 1. Yes this is ridiculous, but true, #1 my nemesis...archery javelina 2. Archery bison 3. Pope and Young class archery bull elk I believe all totally achievable in the next five years with a little luck and hard work. Anything beyond that is gravy. The Good Lord blessed me with a Desert Sheep tag already so I won't even think about lightning striking twice and ever drawing a Rocky tag here in AZ, but I will continue to apply. Killed a decent muley with my bow a few years back so that is actually another that I have crossed off the list. I could put about 10 list items here. Hogs, Dall and Stone Sheep, Mountain Goat, Caribou, Moose, Kudu, Gemsbock, Red Stag, Ibex, I could go on and on...

billrquimby Report post Posted September 17, 2015 I've done many of the things you younger guys have on your bucket lists, so my list is different. I look forward to: 1. Waking up tomorrow. 2. Celebrating seventy-five years (just fifteen years to go) with the girl of my dreams. 3. Seeing our daughter and two adult grandkids achieve all they desire. Last one I killed I got on the first day, but the one before that: 8 days just to find my first herd! All you can do is keep after it.

Hoss50 Report post Posted September 18, 2015 What do ya mean "if" they choose to? Take em huntin. Don't give em the choice. When they get older they can decide if they wanna keep goin'. Like trainin' elephants. Start when they're little. Lark. The 3 year old has been scouting with me for javelin for the last 2 years. He doesnt understand exactly what we are doing but he has fun being outdoors. The 6 month old isn't quite ready yet. We are doing a family camping trip to my elk unit in a couple weeks though so we can relax some and scout some at the same time.

Kids that age love throwing sticks in the camp fire and pebbles in the creek/lake/water hole about as much as anything in the world. I cant wait to take my 2 year old camping next year.

Edge Report post Posted September 18, 2015 Az Bull Elk Moose Caribou I worked in the Priblof Islands, AK. Dang caribou had to be chased from the runway when planes were coming in. A native working with me tagged out a caribou and our cook roasted a tender loin in the boats oven. It was great eating something different after months of dining on fresh crab, wild salmon, cod.... Yup, it was rough foraging for sure.
