Flatlander Report post Posted September 27, 2015 Well this was a lot tougher than it needed to be. The first 7 came out as you would expect, #8 did not and broke off in the head. Fortunately a couple of guys offered me the tool I needed and CTracingraptor printed the ford procedure for both typical removal and extraction of broken plugs. I was lucky enough to have a good buddy who is basically a mechanic helping me and actually doing most of the work. I wish I could blame everything on a piss poor design but letting these plugs stay in as long as I did was a huge contributor. The truck runs great now and my miss has been remedied with just new plugs and it appears no coils needed replaced. I have to say that CTracingraptor is a class act. He not only loaned me the top but bough the plugs for me at cost and gave me a ton of other stuff to help with routine maintenance. His handwritten notes on the plug swap were invaluable. Welcome to the site and please let me return the favor some day! I am sure pics are sideways. Stupid iPhone.
