jim Report post Posted September 15, 2015 Glass the flats above the fields along the power plant road. You can glass alot of that country from the highway and see into the ridges that run up from the river then you just have to figure out how to come into where you see them at. Titanium700 Report post Posted September 15, 2015 I kinda think the rain and warm weather is hurting us but were charging ahead. We'll get one. Thanks all for the help.
Titanium700 Report post Posted September 22, 2015 Thought I'd give an update. My son was not able to fill his cow tag but it wasn't for a lack of trying. With pointers/tips from many members and locals we were able to locate some elk but unfortunately they were all bulls. And one really nice 320-330 6x6, if he had a bull tag that would have been one really dead bull. I want to thank all those who gave pointers/tips by this thread or pm's. Thanks guys. It's been a fun experience for both him and I. Now to draw another tag.

Titanium700 Report post Posted September 22, 2015 Good luck. The most activity we found was right on the New Mexico border. Actually that big bull was 400 or so yds from the main road.
