azsugarbear Report post Posted September 11, 2015 These scopes were made during the mid to late 1970's in Japan under license agreement with Colt Firearms. They were made to attach to the carry handle of the M-16/AR-15 model A-I & II's. The elevation turret is actually a BDC for the M194 military issue ball round. They were manufactured in both 3x and 4x power. These scopes are not rare, but the 4x power model is highly desired by collectors when accompanied by the original box, paperwork, and cleaning cloth. Finding one with the original cap covers is even more desirable. This scope pkg. is all original and comes with everything in the pictures. The scope itself is in excellent shape with pristine glass. Some very minor wear on turret cap and cam lever (typical of all used Colt scopes). If the scope is the only thing that interests you - then this is not the deal for you. Scopes by themselves can be had for $275-$325 on eBay. If you collect original Colt M-16/AR-15 rifles and accessories, this item is a 'must have' for your collection. Asking $400 OBO.
