Arrived in 4b

Recommended Posts

Went to check my cam and low and behold it was unlocked. Kuddos to all you 4b hunters that did not mess with my cam! You guys make me proud to know there are still honest people out there. Any way I had a few decent pics with plenty of cow and a pair of 6x6 bulls. I attached a pic of a bull I spotted on the way to check my trailcam. It dosent seem the rut has kicked of I have not seen and bull with cow nor have I heard a bugle. Could be a tuff hunt.

GOOD LUCK to all those with tags!

I have walked at least 15 miles between yesterday and today. Im writing this up agianst a tree with my bow across my lap :/

Ok im back to work!

Finally got some responses today in 4b. Had a 4x4 at 63 that a buddy missed and a nice 6x6 at 100. Another day where I just say, "I wish I had a tag."

Thanks for the inspiration. I called in a nice 6x6 this morning. He was running about 100 mph straight at me and I couldn't get a shot. Even though he came in he still didn't make a sound other then the branches breaking.

Looks like rain is moving in...could be a good afternoon

Was up there over the weekend helping some friends. Not a lot of bugling yet and seemed to get quiet early. Never really started back up until dark. Had a nice bull in the open at 40 staring me down..no shooting lanes for my buddies and of course I had no tag. One of them tagged out on a nice 6x6 Monday morning so I missed the pack out by a day.

Still trying.... I have been on multiple Bulls everyday so I hope its just a matter of time. I have some really cool trail cam pics i'll post for you rifle hunters when I get back to my PC. Rut has remaind in full swing plenty of bulls chasing cows (they'll respond to calls but I havent had one come in since the second day) theres been so much pressure on the herd I think they are really really call shy. Sitting water tonight all for now.
