ratteless rattler

Recommended Posts

out Sunday dove hunting we stumbled on this one.My daughter who was walking in front spotted him quickly and thank god,he had no rattles and sounded like an electric toothbrush.Don't know how he lost them, maybe a horse since its a popular riding area.We let him slither away.

I know some may not like this, but a dead snake is the only good snake!

Interesting find, thanks for sharing. I saw a really old diamondback in the hills by Tombstone airport in the same condition. That poor guy was so old its scales were in bad shape and no rattle. Giant snake, did nothing but hiss and puff really loud. Since it had lived for so long I just walked away from it, after I changed my shorts....

Lark doesn't like to kill them if he doesn't have to. He just snatches them by the head, then bites the rattle off using his "teef". Let's them keep on livin'.

That big softy.
