Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted September 3, 2015 When you have the baby of the family, spoiled rotten it gets to where they don't need anything and you don't want to buy them anything so this year we decided to take Cole to Lee's Ferry for his birthday. In my senility and lack of paying attention I didn't realize that Lee's Ferry had fallen from the "trophy trout" status. Well......trophy or no trophy one of the best fishing trips I have ever been on, between the scenery and 100 plus fish it was a trophy fishing trip for me. I spent more time getting fish off for my wife and I was just having a blast watching her put a beating on Cole and his buddy Cody. Every time I turned around she was reeling in another trout. This is a great picture though, some great memories to put in the trophy case!!!

tjhunt2 Report post Posted September 3, 2015 Thanks for sharing. I spent part of my honeymoon back in 1977 on that river. Big fish are gone but the beauty is still the same. TJ
Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted September 3, 2015 Great job on making some memories, those are some of the greatest times with my family!!!! Here is a picture of Mike photobombing my wife!!! Yeah....Mike made the trip very enjoyable to boot, I want to try that on my own next time but felt it was well worth having Mike give all the historical info, cooking lunch and his horrible ugly I would never have rigged my pole with that kind of bait ever but I never changed what we were using cause it just kept catching fish....guide. Pac8541 Report post Posted September 3, 2015 Great looking fish, regardless of size. Some of my best catches barely fit in my palm. No idea what you folks did with the fish in the photos but just because I'm primarily a catch and release guy and closet environmentalist: if your plan is to release the fish you shouldn't be suspending them from their gils. The damage that can result to their gils from handling like that can kill them regardless of how long they've been out of the water. Just trying to be helpful.
