COUESAZ Report post Posted June 23, 2007 I hope this turns out to be more than a few second fight. Both thees guys can stand and bang but i am thinking that BJ walks away with the win in this fight. I think jens is tough but his day has passed by for himn in the UFC. The whole fight card should be a great fight night. It is all light weights and they should put on some good fights. KGAINES Report post Posted June 23, 2007 There should be some good fights, a lot of the undercard has the other ultimate fighters that lost previously. I hope Nate beats Manny and BJ beats Jens, tall order there though.
TAM Report post Posted June 23, 2007 Yep! I think it's gonna be a dandy tonight. I'm not a huge fan of Jens but I think he's got BJ's number and knows how to get inside his head. I think BJ's fighting like he has to win, and I think Jens is fighting like he's got nothing to loose. I'm calling it for Jens. Not a fan of Nate Diaz either and I've been pulling for Manny for the entire series. Nate is probably a more rounded fighter. He stand up is good and his ground game is even better but I don't like his attitude and I'm hoping Manny catches him. I kind of like cheering for the underdog. COUESAZ Report post Posted June 23, 2007 I do like Nate more then his brother Nick that is for sure. The thing with Manny is he will be in your face from start to finish and that is how fights are won. BJ has the bad problem of letting guys piss him off a fighter that starts to float because he gets ticked off will lose evry time. But a fighter that lets his anger fight for him will dominate a fight. BJ just takes evrything to serious. If Jens does not get nocked out right away it will be a good fight. But when he came back to the ufc he was knocked out in the first few seconds by one of the kids in the ultimate fighter show he coached on I think it was Joe lauzon.. I wanted Joe to win the whole thingand was shocked to see him knock Pulver out, I do think he would have won with better coaching, BJ and Jens are fighters not coaches though Jens has done well. I really could have cared less who won between Manny and Nate, but after Karo came in talking all that crap and trying to call that kid out I am behind Nate now. It really should be some good fights, BJ is looking for revenge for sure.

COUESAZ Report post Posted June 24, 2007 tap out do to rear naked choke in the second round bj won over pulver. Nate diaz won do to dislocation of manny shoulder in the second round. I think manny would have won that fight. I like the fight were the guy knocked himself out at the same time the guy was tapping out do to rib injury. They gave the fight to the tapper as he was a little behind in the tap. I had to edit as i said ref stopage and it was a tap out in bj jens fight
TAM Report post Posted June 24, 2007 Actually the fight between Grey Maynard and Rob Emerson was called a no contest because neither fighter was able to continue. Grey was going to win that fight had he not knocked himself out!!! The Manny and Nate fight was another crazy conclusion. Manny pretty much handled Nate for the entire fight before he hurt his shoulder shooting in for a take down on Nate. I think Manny was on his way to winning the fight, too bad for him. BJ just worked over Jens. He is just techically a much better fighter. I was glad to see him win and that after the fight they could stop with all the trash talking hype! GRONG Report post Posted June 28, 2007 BJ coulda beat Jens in the first 2 min of the first round if he wanted to. His conditioning was awesome and Jens flat out got his ace BEAT BAD!!! I truly feel like BJ just wanted to pound him, slap him around and humiliate him. His corner seemed to have given him the word during the second round to end it and he choked the life out of that cocky punk Jens. Of course had I been in the ring with Jens I woulda been in the fetal position sucking on my thumb crying for my Mommy. BJ KICKS ACE!!!!! Can't wait for the PPV fights coming up soon either! firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 Josh, for once we agree! i agree word for word! accept the fetal position sucking my thumb! i would have been tryin to climb over the fence or atleast run around until i got to tired!
GRONG Report post Posted June 29, 2007 "Josh, for once we agree!" Casey what does that mean? Have we always butted heads or something? I don't remember arguing with you over anything. Anyway, I LOVE THE UFC and MMA fighting!!!!!!!
