Swivelhead Report post Posted August 25, 2015 Assuming 4x4, Chevy will probably ride better. Ford front end will hold up longer.

longshooter Report post Posted August 25, 2015 I was in the same situation earlier this year and ended up going with the new ford 6.7 . ford had better resale value and didn't have that ugly def tank underneath the passenger seat that hung down. Couldn't be happier with the ford.
Zeke-BE Report post Posted August 25, 2015 Assuming 4x4, Chevy will probably ride better. Ford front end will hold up longer. Actually in a third party contest Ford won the easier ride! Also easier ride with a trailer connected on a dirt road. Won the 1/4 mile up hill, and 0-60 pulling. In 2015 they changed the breaking so it stop just as fast as the chevy. When they did the 12 mile up hill in Colorado Chevy did pull away a whole truck and trailer ahead. But we don't have anything that big in Az. Ford won in most category's. Dodge did win the down hill breaking. As usual Dodge is dinoed out to handle the heavier load but chevy and ford still best it in all towing categories. For the 2016 model Ford added or is planning on another gear for the tranny so chevy won't beat them again on the hill. The ford 6.7 made by Ford is done right! My business partner got one! My old 6.0 will take a 12k pound trailer up,those hills pushing 65 and slowing down to 55 by the time I get to the top. He took the same load 75 mph from start to finish and said he could of pushed it more if he wanted to.

muledeerarea33? Report post Posted August 25, 2015 Pick the one you thinks pretty. Not much else matters these days. I'd go GM but their dang em mesons components designs suck! The ford is supposed to be real good. I'm a GM guy but I like the Dodge. Their pretty.
singleshot Report post Posted August 25, 2015 Drove chevy trucks my whole life. Drove the Dura Max and the 6.7 Ford last year when deciding on a new truck. The chevy was fully loaded, the Ford was fairly basic SLT package. The ride, power, transmission, braking, handling and cab size sold me on the Ford.
