.270 Report post Posted October 2, 2015 'Specially when folks post bogus #'s. 😚. But I hafta agree, if you pull the trigger you hafta live with it. No sense in fudgin'. What I really wanna know is if the poor feller had a nervous breakdown before he shot it. I don't know if I ever saw anyone so excited. Lark.

murfys69law Report post Posted October 3, 2015 First big deer I killed in 91' I was so proud of him after taking 8 before him but not what I was looking for. 6 years of looking at him on the wall and finally someone told me he was about a 170 deer. Ok. that's cool. I shot him cuz I thought he was a trophy to me. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or measures.
MT_Sourdough Report post Posted October 3, 2015 Man. folk in AZ sure are spoiled as far as trophy hunting goes. Back in Montana, I'd be psyched and proud to simply fill an elk tag whether it be a cow or small raghorn. Many elk that Arizona hunters see as second rate would qualify as an elk of a lifetime in other places. I am joining the club, because I do not know how many opportunities like this I will have. With that said, I hope Bob had himself a great time and if the bull is big, well, that's a bonus. I look forward to the story.
