fatfootdoc Report post Posted June 22, 2007 j-- I used to hunt 27 for whitetail with my inlaws, the quantity has definitely decreased and the quality is slowly following suit. You may find a bruiser in the Blue wilderness but it is overhunted and overwolfed in there. Friends I have in Eagar dont even put in for 27 anymore and quite a few of them grew up hunting it. I killed a little dink in there 2pt with eyeguards and it was the biggest thing I saw other than a lion kill. There is better units for whitetail in AZ. Not many folks hunt 16 for coues. My partner killed last year on that hunt. They took three muleys and he got his first coues, 92"+, while hunting for muleys, of course. Do those friends of yours in Eagar know of any good spots for the late 27 bull elk hunt. I drew this year and had seen good bulls a couple years ago while coues hunting there.
