What time of day was it?

Both my archery bulls have been mid-day. One early afternoon and last year's bull was very late morning.

Every one of my archery Bulls have been taken mid-day between 11-1. But I know my unit like the back of my hand and familiar with most of the bedding areas. For some reason the Bulls think all the hunters are taking a nap about noon so I have the element of surprise on my side! They are also really Horney when they get up from their morning siesta a little after 11 AM.

Both of my bulls have been in the evening. Just before last shooting light. Makes for a long night when you shoot them then.

my first and last bull, was 5 min before it was too dark to shoot

but I unfortunately did not recover him.

 

Its amazing how those few seconds will be forever etched into my mind.

My only archery bull was at 4;30PM. Snuck in and shot him in his bed.
