Santana Outdoors Report post Posted August 16, 2015 I really thought I already posted this but couldn't find it, Amanda so if it's here somewhere please delete! Chris Conway's daughter took this buck last year. It had a strange rack, plus it's hooves on the right side were deformed. What's your thoughts?

Red Sparky Report post Posted August 17, 2015 I killed a deer like that once but all hooves looked like that. It was in sand hills so the hooves never met rock to be filed down. My guess is if that was the only hoof like that there was an injury where weight was not put on that leg.

elkaholic Report post Posted August 21, 2015 could have been favoring that leg for some time - learned to live with it earlier accident / injury could cause wierd rack and deformaties sometimes soft or wet conditions can cause elongated hoofs in animals over a long period of time in those habitats as normal wear and tear of hard / rocky surfaces usually wear them down
