sniper Report post Posted August 14, 2015 I thought I would start a new thread on this. This is a home made bow rack that I made for my ranger. Cost me under $15 and took about 30 minutes to make. I saw this on another forum that was posted several years ago. The pipe fits in the holes on the side of the ranger bed. It is actually very secure and stabile. I put a layer of duct tape around the part that fits inside the bed slots th make it as tight as possible. I used Velcro straps like that would hold an extension cord or rope or something to secure the bow to the rack. Sorry about the sideways pics. 1" pvc pipe, 1" pipe fittings, pipe insulation, zip ties, Velcro straps and a little camo green paint.
KaibabHunter Report post Posted August 14, 2015 I made one pretty similar. Works well but the bow eats a lot of dust if not covered.
Couzer Report post Posted August 14, 2015 Gonna say how's the dust? Looks good
sniper Report post Posted August 14, 2015 I don't mind dust on the bow. I carried my bow on the u type racks on my atv for years. I would not carry a rifle up there though.

ThomC Report post Posted August 15, 2015 Why don't you just hold the bow while sitting in a chair while going down the road.
