jmall Report post Posted August 14, 2015 If I get my buffalo next month I am considering using Casey's in Flagstaff to process it. Has anyone used them to process their buffalo? How did they do?
rossislider Report post Posted August 14, 2015 Congratulations on the tag and good luck! Hope to have a buffalo tag someday. Only processors I've used are in the east valley or the Show Low area. I bought a grinder a couple years ago and have started doing my own burger, jerky and stuffed sausages. If you were in the east valley I'd invite you to bring any scrap pieces over to grind. I'd love to try some buffalo sausages and jerky.

BRYCE CANYON Report post Posted August 14, 2015 If I get my buffalo next month I am considering using Casey's in Flagstaff to process it. Has anyone used them to process their buffalo? How did they do? I can recommend Casey to you. He is the only one I will use in Flagstaff for domestics or wild game. Great tag! Should be a fun hunt.
elkaholic Report post Posted August 14, 2015 from what I understand about a buffalo hunt in the general area of grand canyon state park pretty much all the known waterholes have blinds - guess its like 20 - all have permanent pop-up type blinds each is assigned a hunter and you sit 15-16 hrs a day waiting for the buffalo to come out the park and you hope they run by your blind now that's not to say you can't hunt where and how you like but this is the norm from what I've been told if you want to hunt water you'll have company
Basser15 Report post Posted August 14, 2015 I got my Buffalo this past Spring and Casey's did my processing. Best meat I've ever had! I'd recommend getting just the prime cuts and the rest in to burger and mixed meats. Casey's is a little pricey but he does a great job and it's the most convenient for that hunt....especially since it's going to be hot and you are going to have a lot of meat.
