got the new rig in!!

Recommended Posts

thought I'd share a few pics of the newest member of the arsenal I just got back today.. I had this gun built on a Rem 700 action chambered in .300WSM by the guys at Match Grade Arms in Spring, TX.. I topped him off with a B&C reticle Leupold in 4.5X14X40.. These guys can build an awesome gun and are world renowed for their custom rifles..

They teflon coated everything metal, added a custom kevlar 13oz. stock with a custom paint job (AWESOME!!) with a pachmayr decelerator pad on the backside, free floated and glass bedded that bad boy, put a super eleminator muzzlebreak on, crowned the end, and added a new Jewell trigger set at a crisp 3lbs..

We'll see how he shoots here in a few days!! This badboy is gonna put some critters in the dirt this season for sure!!

We'll see ya'll around!!

Looks good Scott. Send the scope into Leupold and have some M1 turrets added. The giraffe camo looks cool. What brand of stock did they use? Total weight? But sorry to see that the woodpeckers got to the end of your barrel already.

Are you going to handload for it, or shoot factory fodder?

Nice looking rifle there!

The camo stock brought back the image of you paying respects to the giraffe

you took in Africa during your HM there. That was a nice pic.

thanks Chef.. I think it'll be a tack driver..

I think this was the pic that you were talking about.. my wife took this pic just minutes after I downed the ol' man.. it was a surreal expirence for me and I was glad my wife had taken the pic when we got back.. i didn't even know she had gotten there yet.. She had crept up while I was there all alone with the bull and snapped the pic of me reflecting on what had just transpired..

thanks for remembering the pic.. I haven't looked at it in awhile..

Looks great to me Scottyboy and I like the muzzlebreak, looks like a Magnaport. Do you know what the rifle weighs? I have been $aving up for a Ed Brown Savanna or a H-S Precision and how does your new rifle compare in price?
