Guest oneshot Report post Posted August 8, 2015 This ones face was pure red from eating cactus fruit. I would say "great minds think alike" since I'm going out to harvest PP tunas this weekend for juice/moonshine and i always taste test them before picking... but do I really want to be compared to a tortise??? khmer6 Report post Posted August 8, 2015 Do you need a permit to harvest or is our hunting license a permit to be on state trust and harvest
hoghntr Report post Posted August 8, 2015 You cannot take them out of wild. illegal to release into wild. after captive they oftn get upper respiratory infection that is contagious to other tortoises.

murfys69law Report post Posted August 8, 2015 We have a Sulcata tortoise that wieghs about 90lbs. It tunneled under my fruit trees and lives there. He can eat a whole head of lettuce in about 5 minutes or less. We will feed him some strawberries every once in a while and he ends up looking like hes wearing lipstick. Pretty cool pet.

WampusCat Report post Posted August 9, 2015 Amazing what a different experience seeing those can be for different people at different times. Such a cool critter to stumble across until you are training at 29 Palms. You will loath the desert tortoise and the CA hippies who are paid to halt training and make a huge scene in the name of "science". Great pic and thanks for sharing. I've only ever seen one in the wild near Yuma.
hoghntr Report post Posted August 9, 2015 Short of the ones I have found wandering neighborhoods with peace signs painted on their backs I have only sen tortoises off of 87 above ftn hills.
