04silverado Report post Posted August 6, 2015 Just wondering how rough the access roads from the backside from Klondyke are and roughness of terrain in whitetail country. Even coming from safford it would still be a lengthy drive to learn there's not much access.
208muley Report post Posted August 7, 2015 Call the wm in the unit. It seems that the access changes all the time. I used to know a couple guys that used to get there from the Rez. Not sure if you can do that anymore.
Coues79 Report post Posted August 7, 2015 Call the Rez. You need a permit to pass through if they even allow you to. A few years ago they stopped access. Not sure if it has changed. You'll be hard pressed to find any access roads other than two designated off of the Klondyke road once you get into klondyke and past. Access in the northern part of unit 31 is very limited. It's a shame that all of that great country can't be accessed anymore. G and F need to work on this
