goinhuntn Report post Posted August 6, 2015 Anyone have any experience or thoughts on the Cabelas Meindl perfekts? Been reading reviews & all are good I'm thinking about buying these. The 400 gram insulated ones.
Coues79 Report post Posted August 6, 2015 I sure used to love the meindl brand. Absolutely loved them. I used to get their ibex line but they discontinued what I liked to wear. I had the perfekts and yes, they were very comfortable boots. But, I had issues with the sole coming apart from the leather. Poor quality. I sent them back in and ordered the Alaskan hunters. Decent boot but the rubber does come off of the leather after a while. Once these boots are done in I think I'm going to go with kennetreks. Meindls aren't going to be my hunting boot anymore unfortunately. I really really used to love them.
C. Cordova Report post Posted August 6, 2015 They are a very stiff boot, and the soles are not very forgiving. I use the Irish Setter Elk Tracker 882. They are softer leather, but still supportive, and the sole is durable and quite. 600 gram thinsulate.
Shawn Report post Posted August 6, 2015 I have had the perfekt hikers for a couple years now and really like them. I only use them 7 to 14 days a year for backpack hunts/scout. I use pronghorns or lowa renegade the rest of the time depending on the hunt/scout trip.
azpredator@work Report post Posted August 6, 2015 I use the perfekt light hiker and love them. Longest lasting, most comfortable boot I have ever owned. Never leaked....
