wendt Report post Posted August 4, 2015 My son was drawn for one of the 400 youth tags this year. How easy/hard is it to get away from the 100's of road hunters? Obviously due to the long drive from Phoenix I will not be able to scout as much as I would like to but I will be able to scout 2 weekends in September. If anybody has a good place to start scouting at I would like to hear from you. Or if anyone has some experience on hunting this hunt I would like to know what we could expect in regards to success. Kaffer62 Report post Posted August 4, 2015 There are deer literally all over the place up there. Lots of roads though. Plenty of places to get away. 100 deer a day is not uncommon. apache12 Report post Posted August 10, 2015 I've hunted twice with my now older boys and have a tag this year for my 11 yr old Don't stress it to much they speak the truth when they say the deer are all over up there. So are the road hunters and with double the tags it could be interesting I'd spend more time getting your son comfortable shooting then scouting.
