TonyC Report post Posted August 1, 2015 Hey all, I'm trying to apply for a tag with Adam and need my hunter id/department id however this is my first license and I'm not in the system to look up under my last name. TonyC Report post Posted August 1, 2015 What is a Department ID? Your department ID is your Arizona Game & Fish account number that can also be found on your hunting/fishing license. Your department ID is sometimes also referred to as a sportsmen’s ID. If you need additional assistance with the Portal or have questions, contact us at 602 942-3000 during business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and listen for the prompt. 654321 Report post Posted August 1, 2015 I believe you still have a choice of using your SSN or a number given by AZG&F when getting that "Hunter ID"... Go with the AZG&F number... Do you really want AZG&F to have your SSN??? You have to put your SSN# on every application when you apply for a big game tag so why have a separate ID#? TonyC Report post Posted August 1, 2015 Thanks guys, I think the best route was to get a duplicate for $4.00 without calling their number monday-friday.
