I always carry a blunt in my quiver for squirrels, rabbits, doves or quail (in season). Plus if you run out of arrows, I keep a pack of broadheads in my pack, and can screw on another broadhead as needed. Blunts seem to work best on small game for me.

Thanks! I'll be buying some blunts!

Yep you can carry small game arrows and big game broad heads while hunting. All year around. I like those rubber tipped small game heads, they will help absorb some of the impact possible saving your arrows.

I do a lot of bird and rabbit hunting with my bow, your compound probably puts out over 80 foot pounds of force. after one trip I had 6 rabbits and 9 broken arrows ,that's 13 dollars an arrow, where the inserts and tips were 3-9 inches into the shaft. once I got the rubber slip overs they all survived, though I had to track down the nocks that shot out if I hit something really hard.

What kind of slip overs are they?

I like vista, but bunny busters are good to. Saunders makes a great screwin with rubber head as well. Trick is to match your tip weights. I used 75gr metal blunts and a 100gr slip on.

I haven't used them in a while, but I used to have a Judo point on an arrow in my quiver. I like the Judo because they pop up into the air and/or avoid burrowing into grass, etc. Easier to find.
