cohofishing Report post Posted June 8, 2007 hi, just called fish and game regarding department id's. I couldn't remember if I had gotten id's for my wife and daughter. Since I had already put in by computer for my tags, I brought up the subject. The lady said that it wasn't going to be a problem (which I'm sorry to say I don't believe) and asked if I had gotten the e mail. She told me if you do draw, the department will not be charging you credit card, but you will have to send in a cashier's check (no personal checks) to pay for the tag. Now is it just me, or is this going to open a whole new can of worms? It has never been about the money for me but the convenience; and if they are not going to used our card why not return the fee and start all over? Did anyone get an e mail? Soar AZ Report post Posted June 9, 2007 Yes I got the email G&F sent out last week. Here is a copy. ~Scott~ 2007 Arizona Fall Hunt Draw Information June 5, 2007 Dear hunter: Thank you for your online application(s) for the Arizona 2007 Fall Drawing. The Arizona Game and Fish Department has ceased doing business with its former online application vendor. However, your valid online application(s) will be entered into the draw. If any of your online applications are drawn, you will be contacted by the Department and informed of the amount due; your credit card was not and will not be charged for the permit-tag fee(s). Instead, you must submit the permit-tag fee(s) directly to the Arizona Game and Fish Department using a cashier's check or money order. Personal checks will not be accepted. The payment deadline date for tag fees is July 27, 2007. The Department has extended the 2007 Fall Drawing deadline until 7 p.m. MST on June 26, due to this change and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause you. Should you desire to enter any additional applications into this drawing, you must apply manually using a paper application and submit the application fee, permit-tag fee and license fee if applicable, for each application submitted. Additionally, the draw results will be posted on the Department's Web site and you may contact the hunt/draw section of the Department to find out the amount you owe if successful in the drawing. Call (602) 942-3000 and press 2 for drawing information and bonus points, then press 3 to speak to a draw clerk. Sincerely, Harry Seck Assistant Director Special Services Division

ichiban43 Report post Posted June 11, 2007 Got one in the snail mail today. Can't wait to see what next year brings for an encore. Not blaming AZGFD for anything--they may have headed off a huge catastrophe. Hope it goes well for the next draw--no matter what they do.
