MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted July 25, 2015 Any experts have some input on what traps to buy or make? I would like to make one at least and buy a few. I have been saving my fish heaqds and innerds for a little family fun next couple of trips north. Thanks for any insight.
camoremi Report post Posted July 25, 2015 I think basspro carries them but I have no experience with them
PRDATR Report post Posted July 25, 2015 Take a look back a month or so about the mudbug topic. I have used the little crawfish traps and also the cylindrical minnow traps and I like them better. Reason is they can hold more crawfish and the position they rest on the bottom is foolproof.

azslim Report post Posted July 26, 2015 I've made them out of 2'x12' 1/4" mesh wire, cut in 2' square pieces, pull the 4 corners together and tie with string, this will leave 4 slots for them to get in the trap, hang a chicken wing and tie onto a long stick and set. Check frequently because they can get out. When you are done cut the string and you can lay the wire flat again so it doesn't take up much space.
