Azlongears Report post Posted June 3, 2007 Hey Russd- No more of a fish in a barrel than a deer 200 plus yards away you are about to blast with a scoped rifle..... Josh worked his tail off for 5 days keeping up with those dogs, trailing lions, before he got to a lion in a tree. It's all about the chase, not the kill. The kill scene just happened to be the only footage we had from the hunt and just thought I'd share it.
azcouesandelk Report post Posted June 3, 2007 Fantastic footage Andy!!! I just hope I can get a lion of that caliber someday!
jamaro Report post Posted June 3, 2007 Great job... I think Chuck Adams said that the Lion was one of the toughest animals for him to take during his slam... PS... Loved the Porn music.. j
wklman Report post Posted June 3, 2007 hey andy you need to get that music off the video and just have the sweet sound of them hounds bawlin treed! hey russd, you shouldn't judge something until you've at least tryed it. a lion hunt is probably the toughest hunt you'll ever go on.its never a slam dunk in any way.dogs get lost, stolen,or killed.you hike 10 miles all day and the cat never trees, when you see a cat treed on film you don't see the work that went into getting it there. Azlongears Report post Posted June 3, 2007 Thanks wklman. No one would argue shooting a lion out of a tree is any big deal. But that is such a small part of the whole hunt, I guess it is different for everyone. I figured I'd put a little music to it with some rythm, when you're out there chasin those dogs wide open you can't help but get that pumped up!!!

hunter4life Report post Posted June 4, 2007 Nice cat and neat video!! Well said Wklman. The hard part is not the shot at the end, it is getting the fish out of the lake and into the barrel (or in this case finding the cat and chasing it up the tree).
