PRDATR Report post Posted July 14, 2015 I have a Stainless Model 700 ADL I bought new in 93 with a composite stock which is pretty heavy. I don’t have a scale so I don’t know how much the stock weighs but I would like to replace it with something lighter and am looking for suggestions.

PRDATR Report post Posted July 14, 2015 They only have wood stocks and that would be heavier than what is on their now.

willhunt4coues Report post Posted July 14, 2015 Go with the Manners Carbon elite stocks I believe they weigh 20 oz give or take a few oz. That is what I first wanted but went with a normal chassis stock which weighed 2.5 lbs.
duckhunter175 Report post Posted July 16, 2015 McMillan Classic Remington-- I have one on my Rem 700 Stainless 30/06. It makes things light enough but doesn't make it painful to shoot. And its a premium stock for less $ than Manners.

Mike S Report post Posted July 19, 2015 I'm happy with the carbon Hunter's Edge stock on my M70. McMillan has a lot of different Remington patterns, you can see them at their shop by Deer Valley Airport. They stock some models, otherwise they are a long lead time item and maybe too late for this fall.
