If you end up buying a new one, Cameraland has the Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 on sale for $299 delivered. That's a nice scope but it is a 30mm tube.

Thanks.

I have spent about the last year looking thru scopes at Sportsmans. Vortex, Nikon and Leupold. The others don't seem to have the clarity that Leupold has.

I do appreciate the info.

Jimmy

+1 for the vortex viper. I have that exact scope and have harvested deer, elk and bear out past 700 yards repeatedly. Good glass and tracks really well. For the money you can't go wrong. I think they are as good or even better than Leopold

I have heard the same from many people. But after going to Sportsmens warehouse many times and looking through both scopes I have found Leupold to be more clear.

Thanks for the reply.

It's all about personal preference. Go with what your eyes like! Good luck with the purchase.
