MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted July 12, 2015 Welcome. Consider owning part of a plane, a friend does this and it works really well for average Joe. I love to fly, love the little 125 horse oldies. Not a pilot but I get to stick all the time.
Flatlander Report post Posted July 12, 2015 What do you want to learn? Are you a rifle or archery hunter? Do you have any tags this year?
TonyC Report post Posted July 12, 2015 Well, I am very interested in almost everything. I am considering doing archery however I know nothing about it. I just think it may be a better route since it will be easier on my wallet than long range hunting. I haven't purchased any tags since I am inexperienced.. I wouldn't even know what to do even if i bagged a mule or elk.. haha. I hope to tag along with a group from here and be able to pick their brains. The guns I own aren't quite suitable for hunting too much. 12gauge shotgun - good for small game (birds and such mosin nagant ( good for coyotes and other stuff .. but disadvantage is its weight and iron sights) and my 1911 for protection. The issue is that any experienced hunter struggles with having newbies tag along out of fear for losing their favorite "spot." I would love to get out and tag a deer this year but I'm definitely not planning on it since the lack of financial funds and lack of gear.
wildwoody Report post Posted July 12, 2015 Archery is not necessarily cheaper
PRDATR Report post Posted July 12, 2015 The Mosin is plenty adequate for any game AZ has to offer. With that said you could probably get $150 -$200 for it and that toward a Mossberg Patriot combo in 30-06 for just another $200. What Model 1911 do you have?
