elkman Report post Posted May 31, 2007 I havn't made it upto the black river on the san carlos in a couple of years. I was wondering if anyone had been up there lately and if the fishing for smallies is still as good as it was. My boys are wanting to go fishing and i couldnt think of a better place to avoid the major crowds, and catch a bunch of fish. Thanks in advance

azpackhorse Report post Posted May 31, 2007 I was up there last weekend, we tried to go to Tick Flat but my buddy's truck couldn't make it (chevy) so we went down to the Black river crossing instead. The fishing was good, the river is flowing just right for fishing. No bears, no snakes, it was a good trip!
