Arizona Griz Report post Posted July 8, 2015 They do run more efficient on AC power but it should be able to bring down the ice box to 40-50 degrees in 100 degree weather. I was going to tell you to adjust the slide thermostat but that can't be the problem since it cools fine on AC power. Sorry, I am no help.
Red Sparky Report post Posted July 8, 2015 If you are running it on propane look at the flame. It is the same coil that cools whether it is on electric or propane. What I ran into when I was an RV tech for Holiday Rambler is rust will build up where the burner tube is. If you don't have a good flame take the burner tube out and dump it in your hand. I did that once and ended up with about 1/4 cup of rust that was not allowing the flame to be high enough to actually cool. Look at that first.
ctracingraptor Report post Posted July 8, 2015 Ive had a similair problem with my tahoe, like others have said. Check the flame, pull the front cover off and look. Also check the vent stack to the roof, i had a pack rat make a nest in mine, and it was causing the issues.
Curtis Reed Report post Posted July 8, 2015 You may have to "burp" the fridge? At least that's what I would try next. If you google it, you will find info https://www.trails.com/how_12308_burp-dometic-trailer-refrigerator.html
Edge Report post Posted July 8, 2015 Like Sparky said, probably the rose bud full of carbon, they should be cleaned annually. Should have brought it here not there, pickin up what I'm layin down? Hope you don't have carbon monoxide issues as a result of a poor flame.
