But this off my own new table and gear Here is my first results 270 win hornady interlock sp 150 grn imr 4350 52 grn hornady new brass win primer Nice three shot group off a rest a 100gr And then one strange flyer on the fourth round any thoughts on what I did to create that? wayno945 Report post Posted July 4, 2015 The barrel heating up can cause flyers, especially this time of year. Is your rifle bedded? You might want to vary your bullet seating depth with those same powder charges to see if that will improve your groups. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

wayno945 Report post Posted July 4, 2015 Lots of guys start about .010" off the lands of the rifling and seat the bullet deeper until they find their optimal COL. Hornady makes a tool to measure bullet distance to the rifling. Just be aware that the further you seat the bullet inside of the case, the internal pressure will rise.
