mattys281 Report post Posted July 4, 2015 Why not adjust the factory trigger? Just curious.
452b264 Report post Posted July 4, 2015 After paying a gunsmith to do a trigger job, you can buy a timney and have a safer trigger (Better Trigger). A slightly used timney can be had for $75.00 or so, a gunsmith wants 100 to 150 for a trigger job. An aftermarket trigger is the better option for myself. I adjusted the pull on my 700 bdl and since I had it apart I cut some shims for the action and floated it in the stock. Total time of about an hour for a guy whod never done it before. I cant believe itd take an experienced smith more than 15 minutes start to finish. Thats piracy. I bought a timney for mine too but havent tried it yet. I have to clear out the stock as the timneys a little fatter so I'm going to hold off until I get a different stock. Thinking about doing a hogue with pillar bedding.
