HELP Yamaha Grizzly 700 Making them Street Legal

Recommended Posts

I have 2 Yahaha grizzly 700. I am looking to make them street legal.

I have come across the street legal kit made by Tusk. It looks great but have not been able to order one. Out of stock till October.

Just wondering if anybody else has made there Grizzly street legal, and what kit you used and if you were happy ect, Thanks Dale

Page 6 tells you all you need ... Usually the add-on's that most have to get are the Horn ... and License Plate light .... looks like you would need to add a handle bar mirror. If they do not have a brake light you would need to add that as well but most made have that covered... Then get your insurance and emmissions testing and you should be good ...

...also, license plate, tags, and OHV sticker (thru DMV). If you will ride on pavement, you need DOT rated tires.

You dont need emissions testing any more.

When did they revise the statute .... It has always been based on location and though I did not do a registration in 2015 in 2014 it was still required... as well as an inspection the first time registering it ...

You do not need DOT rated tires for pavement to be legal ... Would it be recommended , of course, but it is not required

I believe 2013 was the last year I had to do my rhino. It always made my day when they would ask me to raise the hood. They would look around at no motor and then say close it.
