muledeerarea33? Report post Posted June 24, 2015 If so, what type are you on, the home brew version or the three times a week at a place kind? Pros and cons of each? Trying to make a decision within the month and looking for all the info I can get, and maybe someone has an extra kidney in their pack they're not using lol. Not for my self. Thanks for any input. shanehamblin Report post Posted June 24, 2015 My dad drove 45 min to dialysis for about a yr an a half. Finally got the call and got a kidney/pancreas transplant over 6 years ago. I now have 3 kids ages 5, 4, an 1. He's a great grandpa and dad. It was a LONG road but keep the faith. Thank the Lord for organ donors. Stay strong!

cw4192 Report post Posted June 24, 2015 I did the three times a week thing for 8 months. I had the time and they locate a clinic near your house or on way to and from work. Things may have changed since 2003 with the home style but I choose to go to the center. Cramps are horrible don't think I could deal with them at home. some people don't cramp but I did bad. don't know where you are looking for transplant team Good Sam or Mayo Clinic but I did Mayo Clinic and they are AWESOME. If You get to Mayo try to see Dr. Raymond Heilman and his Team they are Great. PM if any further questions be glad to tell you and wife what to expect and it will only get better trust me. Good luck.
