mattys281 Report post Posted June 23, 2015 I put mine 10 to 12 feet up to make it a little more difficult for the thief. This should be your golden rule. Lock boxes only keep bears out, people just pry them off. Ive lost two that I thought were well hidden, well off the beaten path and also In lock boxes. I wish nosey bears were the only problem in the woods, people suck!

Elkhunter1 Report post Posted June 23, 2015 Finally got cams and the family and I are heading out to put them up. Just curious, are you putting them in security boxes? Is that the standard now? I'm considering getting some and putting them out but fear I'm just donating them to whoever comes by first if they're not locked up? Guys give me a call I can help with real lock boxes, they would take a battery powered grinder to steal these!!! StealthCam IR740 Wildview Cam
