Who all is going to make it up to the shoot this weekend? I will be going and attempt it. This will be my first shoot so my expectations arent to high for myself but I am looking forward to meeting some fellow archers and learning a thing or two. If you are heading up let me know and maybe we can carpool so we dont have to burn as much money on gas.

Got back from the clints well shoot today and shot all day yesterday and all day today. This was my first shoot and I am very happy with how I did only lost/ruined 3 arrows and averaged 120 per round, which is averaging 8 per shot. Was able to meet up with some familiar folks and meet up with some new faces.

Josh it was good meeting you and next time I am up that I way I will have to bring some sheds by to show you. Ron it was good seeing you again and always good to see families out there together. Rob it was good to shoot with ya and I hope your feeling better now and have some arrows left over :P

younghunter,

120 averaging 8 is excellent for your first time. YOU STALLION!!!

Just watch out for Josh. He likes to sneak up behind you and tickle your leg with his arrow tip. Probably woke me up and helped me keep alert and shoot better though

Glad you had a good time.

It was a pleasure to shoot with you today Stan. I learned alot from watching you and Travis shoot.

Lance I know that by 3 yesterday afternoon around 500 shooters had registered!!! There were several archery shops that came up and set up a little display and Jim White had a booth there also.

Also forgot to say thanks Steve (rthrbhntng) for coming up this afternoon and giving me the pointers it helped out greatly.

Was very nice talking with you Christian and nice to finally meet you too. Stan and Travis may have told you but you missed one heck of a UFC fight that night. To bad you missed it.

Glen Jones, one of the guys that put the shoot on, told me yesterday that they had just over 600 registered shooters. He said normally it's somewhere around 400. I was surprised because of the BHH shoot on the same weekend over at Sunrise. Either says a lot about the shoot or that there are more and more archers out there now.

Josh, I think the price of gas had a lot to do with how far people were willing to drive for a shoot.

I got an early report that the BHH went well and although attendance was lower than it has been in alot of years, it has the potential to build into a great shoot like it was in Mormon Lake days.

Glad y'all had a great time.

Might have to make a trip to Archery HQ for some more arrows this week. And I'm finally starting to feel better this afternoon, but I guess I know how to make an impression.... :o

Christian,

Glad you enjoyed the shoot. I always liked the shoot at Clints Well and the course layouts (but did not make it this year for the first time in several). Smokers are fun and a learning experience.

Hope to meet you at some other shoot. The three northern AZ clubs are having their scene shoot the weekend of June 23 at Willard Springs south of Flag.

Rampage Jackson is one Bad dude, But he should not have a title fight with only one fight in the UFC. He will be champ for a long time running. And then the bring Dan over for the next title shot. He used to fight UFC before going over to pride. Again i think he should have to fight his way to ther tilte. The reason they do not have to is because now that Dana white owns Pride as well it is going to make him alot more money to bring the champs over right away.

10000000000000000% agree. Rampage is one bad man, I do think he will have the belt for a long time. i know he is worthy of a title fight, but i also think he should have had to have more that one freakin UFC fight for the title. I really wanted chuck to win cause hes my boy, but i knew he couldnt hang with Rampage. also, dan henderson is one had dude but his first fight shouldnt be a title fight. there are guys that work for year and years to get title fight but they dont get it until they have gone something like 6,7,8,9,10 and 0. i think its crap but he is one bad dude!

Did he deserve a shot??? Heck, Yes... UFC has been pumping the Iceman for years... and Iceman was trying to avenge a lose... Chuck got KTFO.... It was amazing... It just goes to show that Chuck has been winning because of style match-ups.... He finally has to fight someone that can stand-up and he gets WRECKED... it was great... I don't know if Rampage will have the title for long because anything can happen in MMA...
