Edge Report post Posted July 3, 2015 More crying tonight, panty wetting. Goodness knows a fire starter ain't all that important, lay it down any ol place. seriously wtf? How can you lose that? He wanted to go home. He looked for 2 hours? Nice commitmentAgreed, he wanted to leave. I would have had that fire starter lanyard to my neck. Thought the guy building the cabin looked like a contender, until he gave up after cutting down all those trees. Lol

CouesHunterAZ Report post Posted July 3, 2015 It is only the fourth day in and guys are dropping like flies. I have my money on the guy Mitch winning it, as long as this cougar doesn't have him running away next episode.

MuggyMan Report post Posted July 10, 2015 Did anyone watch last night's episode? I can't believe it - 5 guys out in 5 days! And these are "survival experts"? They may have a lot of survival training, but it's hard to believe these guys tapping out so soon have ever had any real test of their toughness... Even my wife was incredulous. She looked at me and said, "You could do better than those guys."
murfys69law Report post Posted July 10, 2015 Yep. It does seem a little weird they are tapping this quick. Don't know how scripted the show is but I tend to find that most reality shows like this are done for the viewing audience. They have a list of items you can view of what each person was given. Bear spray, flares, knives and such. I don't get why each person doesn't have a fire if they have flares. That's the first thing they should get going I would think. jmo
Edge Report post Posted July 10, 2015 With $500K at stake, you'd have to carry me out of there in a body bag. 5, 6 days in and some of these guys ain't got a fire started yet? Mountain Men Kyle the Cimmaron, NM clown needs replaced. Week or two ago sends his boy in to rope a roan colt he could have just walked up to and put a halter on. Result is a colt with hoof caught in panels. Last night the clown ties a horse to a gate and another horse is tied by the reins with a bit in his mouth. Both big no no's. This guy is a wannabe, has watched too many westerns. Did like the lion hunters home made dog paniers for packing the hounds in on mule. Panier covers looked like they came off a box fan. Great mule he's got.
murfys69law Report post Posted July 10, 2015 Agree Edge. The paniers were kinda cool. As far as Kyle goes, this gets back to what I am saying about being scripted shows. This guy or almost anyone that's been around a horse or mule for even a little while knows this. I learned very early in life you don't tie em by the reins from the working end of my PaPa's belt. When I did it when I was about 6 yrs old I couldn't sit for a while. I think they do these things to get a rise out of the viewers who probably write in and say something about it. Fun to watch tho. Look how it's got all us talking about it.

Look how it's got all us talking about it. I love horses too much to ever put them in jeopardy like I,ve been seeing. Even the lion hunter tied his stock to a barbed wire fence when he could have used a tree a short distance away. If Alone is a fair competition, it'll come down to bushcraft and mental toughness. The cry babies won't last. Even my gf wants to slap the whiney boys. They got 500,000 reasons to shut up and eat slugs.
