Coach Report post Posted June 15, 2015 A family member has one that her husband started to restore before he passed away. I believe it has all or most of the original parts and the body looks to be in good condition. She wants to sell it but has no idea where to start. Update - I sent out some pictures to people who had asked for them, but adding them here as well.
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted June 15, 2015 Depends on condition and year, extra parts, how much of it is there, how much original, how much is matched date parts (engine, trans, body, frame) and a title is a big thing with older cars as well. I've been trying to sell a 25 dodge sedan turned into a truck for a few years, my biggest issue for losing buyers is I have no title. Even though it's been family owned with several extra parts and such with it. The ford is more popular than most but not rare. All depends on condition with the older fords.
azslim Report post Posted June 15, 2015 I sold one that had sat outside for years, last time I remember driving it was 67 or 68 on a fishing trip then it was parked. I got $2500 for it plus some spare parts. Hers is probably in better shape, should get more $ for it.

ZJARCHER Report post Posted June 15, 2015 We've got one too Coach- a 31. Mostly original, pickup. It's a diamond in the rough because it has a 4 speed gear box. I guess only a hand full had a 4 speed, all others had 3 speeds. It was my papaws- were in the same boat as you. Let me know if you find anything out about yours- I'll do the same! Coach Report post Posted June 15, 2015 Thanks ZJ, I'm going to take some pix this week and put them up here along with whatever details I can get about it.
billrquimby Report post Posted June 15, 2015 Zarcher: Ford made the Model T until 1928. From 1929 to 1931, they made their Model A, a much better vehicle but not as desirable for collectors. I also have a 1931 Model A pickup with a 4-speed transmission, but I disassembled the truck about 40 years ago when I had delusions of restoring it. Everything still is stored in a shed but I'll never get around to putting it together again. I'd be interested in knowing how much you're offered for yours. --- Bill Quimby

ZJARCHER Report post Posted June 15, 2015 Bill- yeah its a Model A. Not sure why I was thinking model T. I hear you there. I'd like to restore it fully, but when it comes down to it, I really don't think I'd ever drive it. If I built a late 60s, early 70s muscle car or even pickup, I'd use it more. It's also my dad's choice though, ultimately, so we might end up doing something with it. Not a lot out there about values on them on the internet. I searched long and hard for info on what it's worth now and what it'd be worth restored.

JLW Report post Posted June 19, 2015 almost 5 million model a's were made and 15 million model t's were made... don't think the model t's are worth as much as 1 would think. on american pickers the other night he bought a 1930 something ford coupe for $16,000..... don't think many were made and trany/engine were original. people like to make those into hot rods...
