CouesHunterAZ Report post Posted June 11, 2015 Don't know if this has been a thread or not, but I couldn't find it when I looked. I have tried many different Mexican restaurants in Tucson over the past years, was wondering if I have missed any. Mi Nidito is my favorite so far, does anything else top that. Or are there any places that have large quantities for low prices? Thanks
backcountry_brad Report post Posted June 11, 2015 It isn't really Mexican food but El Guero Canelo has these Sonoran dogs that are the best d@mn things you'll ever eat. Have to try them!
25-06 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 Rosa's is the best mexican food I have ever had. Not just the best in tucson but the best I have ever had. They are located on the south west corner of campbell and fort Lowell.
PelaPapas Report post Posted June 11, 2015 I like Mi Nidito as well. It reminds me of the type of Mexican food that I was brought up on at home and my grandparents house. El Sur on 22nd just east of craycroft is pretty good. Good food and good prices. A few other places I like... Crossroads (4th ave.) - Living social usually has an offer for $22 worth of food for $11! St. Mary's Mexican Food (St. Marys rd.) Taco Giro (Grande Ave. Location) - Good lunch specials (Not really "Mexican Food") Mariscos Chihuahua - Gotta get the Shrimp Culichi !!!!
desertmafia21 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 Guadalajara grill is great as long as they stop burning down. Love me some salsa made right in front of you. El Sur on 29th and swan is never busy and they have $1 margaritas! Took the wife and got 2 fajita platters, 3 margaritas, and churros for desert. Grand total was $17 and we had leftovers for the next day. Cant beat the price
Shooter McGavin Report post Posted June 11, 2015 El Gorrion across from Pueblo High School (12th/36th) is fantastic, especially the red & green chili. Their roach coaches that cruise the south side are to die for.

CouesHunterAZ Report post Posted June 11, 2015 El sur is one of my favorites, just wish it was closer to home. Nothing I have found can beat those prices, I will have to try Rosa's.

Big fan of El Guero, there is a stand off of Alvernon and Lee that gives El Guero a run for its money. The bread is out of this world.

desertmafia21 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^NOPE^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Guero and bk's used to be the best. Sonoran dogs have come a long way. There are carts with bacon wrapped peppers and chipilon style dogs where they bake the cheese right into the bread
