Lance Report post Posted May 21, 2007 Took the family out fishing again for the umteenth time this spring but this time we took some pictures cause they were pretty proud of their catch! After loosing several fish to snaped lines we finaly got it into the kids heads that they had to take their time and play the fish in. We sat the drags loose and watched the fun as the kids had some great fights lasting several minutes with some big fish! We did loose about 4 fish do to pike teeth but landed plenty enough to keep it interesting! The four kids on the left are mine and the one in the red shirt is a nephew. sgha Report post Posted May 22, 2007 Nice work there Fam! One thing though I believe there's a mercury warning on that lake, so I'd check with the G&F before feeding those little tykes!
Lance Report post Posted May 22, 2007 SGHA- Thoes fish are sooo full of mercury we use a metal detector as a fish finder!!! Thats our little secret We just took pictures for the kids and then turned them loose YOUNGHUNTER- Bring it on! I'm game, you don't have to twist my arm too hard! TWOGUNS- Small fish "Shiners" is what they are feeding on in the shalows. So we are using mostly small silver spinners. We went out again last night I'll post some pictures latter. azhuntnut Report post Posted May 23, 2007 I remember fishing that lake all night back in the 80's, and then driving down to Mormon the next day for day of big pike fishing. I caught a huge pike out of Mary in 91. I was going to take my boys there this weekend, but I think it is going to be to busy. Did you have any elk come down and water next to you? That used to always scare the crap out of me. David
