MathewQuigly Report post Posted June 9, 2015 "Quit hunting or pay there fees, no matter what they are!" Is the response you'll get on here from the usual few who love the Game and Fish no matter what. Its true, you could quit hunting and complaining or pay the fees. Or you could be a good American and question everything any government entity(state, Fed, local, etc) does! I don't care if you pay $1 mil in gas, food, gear etc. That's your choice and money spent completely separate from tags that u could spend regardless of getting drawn. But if the rate hike for tags isn't on par for what they are supposed to be doing with the money, even if it was $2 a tag, you should call them out. They work for us, not the other way around. I don't like paying more, but I cant say if its justified or not cause I haven't done my due diligence and researched it, so I wont complain....not yet anyway. I don't hate game and fish but I don't live in there hip pocket either. I feel every dollar collected and spent should be public and Voters should have a say if it seems they are not using the money or doing their job wisely... But the same reasons the Cardinals can keep kicking up ticket prices or promoters can get $100 a pop on a pay per view fight is because the demand and people keep paying .... I am more concerned with those lobbying to create much higher tag fee structures by creating trophy hunts than with an across the board increase for all and not messing with things ( I know you archery guys already feel you are getting shafted ) ..... IMO G&F dollars should never go in the state general fund that is where they are wasted the most...+1 Well said
Edge Report post Posted June 9, 2015 Stop putting in. Put in another state or be quietSo you would rather be lead like sheep and not hold anyone accountable. Thats your right but I would like to know why the prices go up and the herds dwindle. Think Americans have been sheep long enough. So Sheep you be quiet Quigly,How ironic people like us donned our nations uniform to defend peoples rights to tell us to be quiet on a public discussion forum. I mean honesty, is that rich or what? Lmao

BeardownAZ Report post Posted June 9, 2015 Not to completely derail this post from its original topic, but one of the greatest things about being an American is our right and ability to dissent against the powers that be. And that includes when someone wants to know why tag fees keep going up and game numbers seem to be going down. No one needs to be quiet. Questioning game and fish isn't whining or complaining. The game doesn't belong to the game and fish. We don't ask them for permission to hunt. They manage it on our behalf so the ding dongs in society don't eradicate them. So questioning there fees, motives, etc, are perfectly reasonable.
.270 Report post Posted June 9, 2015 the azgfd thinks it's whinin'. they are the know all and do all. that's why we have wolves, too many lions, no trapping, and all kindsa other PR crap that isn't good science. plus it ain't rained much for 20 years. if they want to continue to manage, then by all means, please do. quit doing stupid things that don't help would be a good place to start. but as far as the price of tags, i'll keep payin' it and gladly so. it's just the cost of life to me. just like insulin or chemo or antibiotics or any other stuff that some folks hafta have to stay alive, i hafta hunt to stay alive. because if you don't hunt, you ain't alive. you're just a yuppie or nerd or some other low form of life. sorta like pond scum with birkenstocks on. Lark.

MathewQuigly Report post Posted June 9, 2015 No but the herds have really gone down. I use to be able to go for a drive I Flagstaff and see quite a few deer in different areas. Now we're lucky to see one or two. So how do they rate an increase or pay raises when it's clear that they managed to run the herds into the ground. Then they introduce wolves again. That really helps the wildlife
