idgaf Report post Posted June 6, 2015 I think about fish with my stomach and when they will be the best to eat. Some of you guys come to my neck of the woods for trout (white mountains). Which is great when the stockers have become "naturalized citizens" of there new surroundings or a couple of native fish bite my line. Nothing like cedar planked trout when the meat is pink or better yet red. But this time of year nothing is better than high country catfish. Enjoy the pics. I have to go get some cabbage, sour cream and chipotles.

mattys281 Report post Posted June 7, 2015 I'll have to try to catch some this summer. I made the mistake of trying to eat some I caught out of the gila river a few years back.. big mistake! I havent tried cats since, but some high country caught ones could be just the thing to beat down that bad memory.

muledeerarea33? Report post Posted June 7, 2015 Pulled a 25lbs cat out of show low about 10 yrs ago. Snuck onto the PD snorkel tube and fished at night. Guessing the statute is up for that one?
standman Report post Posted June 7, 2015 We used to catch a lot of catfish out of rainbow lake 16 lbs+ with several over 20. Haven't tried to catch them in quite a few years though and I live 1/2 mile from lake. You have to catch rainbow early before all the weeds get thick. Show Low and Fool Hollow are good for catfish. If you can get your hands on some waterdogs you can have a lot of fun. Brian

Brian Way back a million years(90's) ago when I was young, pretty and didn't mind getting kicked out for trespassing we had the codes to the shores and we could fish the channels next to the very large houses with great results and minimal weeds.
