Edge Report post Posted May 28, 2015 That would be nice. Like to see what she throws.+1 Being that she is "Impressive" bred is she negative for the HYPP gene? She's N/N for HYPP.For those unaware of HYPP, it's a genetic mutation that can affect one or both sides of the genetic strands of the animals DNA The infected animal is unable to metabilise Potassium causing muscle tremors or even paralysis. It's an inherited mutation and Leggy's dam and sire are both N/N as well making it impossible for Leggy to be infected. I've seen the N/H and H/H horses have episodes. Old school halter breeders actually bred for it, not knowing they were spreading a mutation, because the tremors of infected horses also created dang muscular show winning horses.
murfys69law Report post Posted May 28, 2015 That's great she is N/N. I have seen it before as well and it ain't pretty. It is a terrible thing they can get and anyone breeding that in them is out of there mind. JMO
Edge Report post Posted May 28, 2015 Oh and Jack since you're concerned, she's also negative for Lethal White. Come have a look at her Jack, and while you're here, please trim the neighbors stallion, his hooves look awful. Hey I can get you tons of business on the west side.

JMO Its been a while since I kept up with assoc. rules, but I'm pretty sure its been a while since you could get papers on a horse that tests positive. Come have a look at her Jack, and while you're here, please trim the neighbors stallion, his hooves look awful. Hey I can get you tons of business on the west side. Oh good...not concerned...It was a question...I have people ask me if I know of any horses for sale all the time... Appreciate the offer...but horses with awful looking feet and cheap horses are that way for a reason...and are not worth the time or effort JMO
Edge Report post Posted May 29, 2015 She's priced to sell considering there's not much market for brood mares in the paint horse lines and she needs to go to a trainer. Jack, if you have any more concerns or opinions, feel free to pm me. Otherwise, go start your own thread designed to awe and amaze folks with all your knowledge.
JACK Report post Posted May 29, 2015 Wouldn't say anything to you in a PM that I wouldn't say here or sitting around a camp fire...I said I enjoy horse trading banter for a reason....I wasn't concerned...I was just yanking your chain about her...wasn't meant to be personal...I'll use italics for sarcasm next time... I was truly interested in seeing her foals and knowing if she was N/N for HYPP because I do know people looking for mares that will produce color... Happy Trails... Edge provided a link to her info on all pedigrees.com in his very first post, as I recall. States right there on her info she's N/N. And your comments are borderline hostile. Awful feet and cheap horses? Mine That Bird was purchased for $10k just months before winning the Kentucky Derby and millions $. Geez
MathewQuigly Report post Posted May 29, 2015 I've known Edge and Marilyn for awhile now and know Edge doesnt deal in bad horses. Matter of fact my gelding came from Edge and have never been sorry I bought him. As for Marilyn shes going to be a great horse for someone and wish i could take her myself but just cant. Trust us she's athletic. Edge is also right about Twister Heller and if anyone could train and polish this horse its him. Matter of fact got one there right now being finished.
