MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted May 25, 2015 I have 2 neighbors here in wickenburg who have these. They are major animal nuts and I would trust them with my animals, if you would like some contact info they may be interested in providing a good home. Pm me an email and I can hook you guys up. I know there's are big and 10 plus years old.

What type of habitat do they need and what needs to be done to own one? Only if adopting from adobe mtn / g&f. you can look up all kinds of info. they love sweets but need greens (spinach/red leaf lettuce etc) but many live on backyard grass just expect a little plant trimming. we often let ours just live in house worse that can happen is a dry grass turd is left behind. a healthy snack would be hibiscus flowers and a unhealthy 1 would be large quantities of watermelon. :] they cannot be released into wild due to upper respiratory infections that they can get so dont wanna spread disease. they have personality! kidso Report post Posted May 25, 2015 My father has a half acre back yard with 2 tortoises already. He has a pond in his backyard and all kinds of tortoise friendly vegetation. They grow lettuce and chard for them to eat as well. He is a tortoise freak and would love to have it if earlier dibs on the old reptile fall through!
