new truck help

Recommended Posts

OK I could use some opinions on a new or used truck buy. I am in the market for a new diesel 250. So far I am at dodge 2008 or newer and ford 2012 or newer. No interest in the Chevy brand so anyone hearing good or bad in those parameters?

Hard to beat the fords 6.7 diesel. I got a 2014 f-350 with the 6.7 power stroke and its hands down the best truck I've ever owned. I'm currently getting 16-17 mpg in town and 18-20 on the freeway depending on grades and speed. They hold their value the best out of the big 3 as well.

f250 cant find deer....dont listen to longshooter..

That's why I got a f-350 :). Best road hunting truck out there. Hard to beat the heated seats on those cold mornings road hunting.

Does the ford have engine breaking?

Its got the tow haul mode which changes up the trans shift patters and can lock the torque converter in to keep you slowed down.

YOU ARE GONNA HEAR 20 DIFFERENT OPINIONS ON THIS. I have had good with both Ford and Dodge. And I have had some real lemons with both as well.

When they cost me money for repairs they all suck. I have a 2006 ford lcf 4.5 liter powerjoke with less than 60k that has been towed four times on a heavy duty. I have towed a ford lately.

Dodge! Only thing that Ford has over Dodge is the heated tailgate. I guess Ford doesn't want their truck owners to get cold hands when they are pushing :P
