Had 12 cams out for two weeks

Recommended Posts

The treestand was not put up by us. Apparently someone stumbled upon our salt location and thought it to be a good place for a stand. There are two other fixed stands that I can think of within 1 mile of this one (not ours either).

I will admit I have used this one a couple of times with good results.

I will also admit that its not a good idea(for safety reasons) to leave a stand out year round.

Cool pictures though regardless of the stand.

We got these pictures last year(or two years ago, cant remeber) in the same saddle. I thoght it was funny, same color and scratching too. This is a different angle but I believe he is scratching on the same tree.

nice pics, great looking bear!!!

I pretty sure it is not illegal to have a treestand up when it is not deer season, at least not against g$f law maybe against forest service law to leave one up.

I got this right from the Arizona Game and Fish Hunting and Trapping regulations. Accoring to the Regs, it states:

"It may be unlawful to leave tree stands hanging or blinds set for extended periods of time during off seasons. they may be considered abandoned property and subject to seizure."

I don’t think may people know about this, but if you ask any game warden they will tell you that you cannot leave your tree stand hanging year round during off seasons. If they find it at a location for a long period of time (i.e. 7 months or more), they will cut it down.

Good info archeryasu.

I'm keying in on one particular word in the regulation you posted; "may". It "may" be illegal..... Important to know the land status of where you're hunting, as I would guess that the "may" word comes into effect depending on whether your on state land, Forrest Service land, private land, or BLM land (did I miss any?).
