naturegirl Report post Posted May 4, 2015 I hate to admit this, but I would never make it withoug TV! I love watching my TV shows. Without Velocity, Outdoor network & Discovery I would be very sad:) I highly recommend everyone try the no TV thing once for at least 2 weeks. Those couple little rugrats in your avatar benefit from it too . I am finding I have a lot more time to play with my daughter which is a wonderful thing! She is also seeking activities that aren't TV related. we are both reading more and of course spending more time outdoors. So far so good and I'm at 2 weeks.
PRDATR Report post Posted May 4, 2015 My sisters kids were raised mostly without it. There is so much trash on TV anymore.
MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted May 4, 2015 I was trying to remember when we dumped TV and I couldn't remember? 5 years plus my wife says. Best decision we ever made. I do have internet but rarely use it. I use my work computer mostly and my phone. Our life is solo much better without TV, lost weight and mules are in better shape, also the house is looking better. I do miss ufc and food network
naturegirl Report post Posted May 4, 2015 OK I'll admit it. I miss the Real Housewives shows. They are very entertaining to me. I didn't watch much TV but did record those darn trashy (but entertaining) shows.

AZ8 Report post Posted May 6, 2015 McDonalds has free WiFi that's how I uploaded my pics. I'm liking the no TV but the home internet I find more difficult. I'm trying it though.I'm sure you're aware, but be careful with public Wifi. Make sure to turn off file sharing if you're using Windows. Another good way to protect yourself is using a VPN. Lots of apps out for that. Here's a good article. http://www.cnet.com/how-to/tips-to-stay-safe-on-public-wi-fi/

sherman Report post Posted May 7, 2015 OK I'll admit it. I miss the Real Housewives shows. They are very entertaining to me. I didn't watch much TV but did record those darn trashy (but entertaining) shows. My wife and I went without tv for 5 years it was good but she keep getting pregnant so it was cheaper for the cable TV. Funny but true
naturegirl Report post Posted May 7, 2015 Pork-rind frog, no weight/light hook, cast right on top of the bed, with as hard of a "splat" as possible can trigger a defensive strike... Blue-gill/Sunfish swim-bait/soft-body cast across the bed with a stop-and-go retreave... "Ripping", moving the lure as fast as possible, as it nears the bed also can work... Note: a swimming pool can show you ALOT of what different baits do under different speeds/rod actions... Sounds like a foreign language to me...lol.
