27 South? New Unit?

Recommended Posts

My buddy and I were talking about his wife getting drawn when me and him got nothing, and saying she got drawn to hunt in 27 South. Did they split up unit 27 permanently or is it just for this hunt? (Mid August hunt). ... Excuse my ignorance, I've just grown up hunting 27 and it seemed weird and different.

It's just for that hunt. It's a limited opportunity hunt

Cool. Thanks. Was confused when he told me the unit.. XD

that's a really tough hunt. in the event of taking a cow, you have to get it out of there quick! i believe the hunt is in august and temps are usually around 90 degrees

Correct. I believe my buddy said it starts in mid August. Would love to have the problem of packing one out though ;)

I've hunted that strip between the state line and the San Francisco River. That's one heck of a canyon.

Thirty five years ago, my dad shot a muley there just yards from the canyons edge. It lept into the canyon to get away and probably got good and tendorised on the way down to the bottom
